James “Jim” Juilfs (b. 1944) is an Iowa-born artist, preservationist, and performer known for his role in saving historic landmarks such as Old Brick Church and Grant Wood’s Green Mansion Art Colony. A former Hollywood contractor, real estate investor, and SAG actor, he pioneered concrete fresco painting - “a wall you can take home with you.” Now based in Rochester, Iowa, his work has been exhibited locally while he continues to create, perform, and embrace new beginnings.
